Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Inside Sales Representative responsible for increasing sales and cultivating business relationships with new and existing customers through negotiation and utilization of proper sales techniques, excellent customer service, and accurate and up-to-date product knowledge.
Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-call research through sales databases and Internet Searches.
- Initiate telephone contact with customers to establish accounts and make product presentations via telephone; capture customer-specific information pertaining to available programs, budget, and future purchase needs.
- Develop customer-specific sales plans, focusing on managing and increasing sales within assigned accounts for our largest core market customers.
- Acquire key marketing data with each contact to ensure we understand our customer and are providing them with the appropriate catalogs for their needs.
- Send proposals and quotes of specific solutions to gain new customers and upsell existing accounts.
- Perform follow-up activities with prospective clients in response to initial contact through email, collateral mailings, phone calls, etc.
- Meet assigned sales quotas, growing and renewing existing customer relationships, and acquiring new business.
- Review open customer order reports and act on open items, specifically items that may be at risk in meeting the customer's promised delivery date; contact customers with products on backorder, recommending alternate product choices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in inside sales, telesales, or marketing.
- A proven track record of consultative selling, regardless of specific industry background.
- High School Diploma.
- Strong ability to communicate in writing and verbally.
- Strong computer and spreadsheet proficiency beyond basic knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience building strong customer relationships and solving problems effectively.
- Knowledge of and experience with the US Kindergarten – elementary school education market (Preferred).
- Experience working with or selling to youth-serving organizations such as YMCAs, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Summer Camps (Preferred).
