Overview
Our client is looking for a Property Management Coordinator (Long-Term Rentals) to step into a pivotal role managing a portfolio of 150+ long-term rental properties as the primary point of contact for tenants. In this position, you will streamline daily operations by handling high-volume communications and maintenance coordination. Your dedicated support will directly enable the property manager to focus on strategic business growth and investor relations.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Detroit, MI Time with a 1-hour unpaid break (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls from tenants and provide professional, timely responses to inquiries
- Receive and document maintenance requests, ensuring accurate details are captured and escalated appropriately
- Relay messages to leasing agents and the property manager, keeping communication organized and up to date
- Schedule appointments on behalf of the property manager to streamline daily operations
- Manage tenant-facing communications including emails, follow-ups, and general administrative correspondence
- Coordinate maintenance repair requests between tenants and service providers to ensure timely resolution
- Support the management of a portfolio of 150+ long-term rental properties
- Serve as the first point of contact for all tenant communications, including calls, messages, and appointment scheduling
- Free up the property manager to focus on investor relations and business development
- Maintain organized records of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and scheduled appointments
- Adapt quickly to the company's property management software with minimal onboarding
Requirements:
- Prior experience in property management, specifically with long-term rental portfolios
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone presence
- Solid customer service background with the ability to handle tenant concerns with empathy and efficiency
- High level of attention to detail when documenting messages, requests, and scheduling
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and training
