Xero QuickBooks Bookkeeper

Job Overview

Our client is a growing healthcare practice committed to delivering high-quality services while maintaining efficient and accurate financial operations. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Xero QuickBooks Bookkeeper professional to assist with daily reconciliations, payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, has excellent attention to detail, and is confident working across accounting systems and spreadsheets.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible daily hours between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM AEST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately matched to invoices and client records
  • Process and reconcile high-volume payments from multiple funding sources, including government funding, private pay, and disability insurance
  • Maintain accurate financial records across accounting and client management systems
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies and unmatched transactions
  • Assist with the migration of financial records from QuickBooks to Xero as required
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date financial information
  • Prepare daily reports outlining completed tasks, outstanding items, and reconciliation issues
  • Support the administration team with general bookkeeping and financial data management tasks
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and client information

Requirements

  • Proven bookkeeping experience in a similar role
  • Experience using QuickBooks and Xero (Xero certification highly regarded)
  • Strong Excel skills, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional written communication skills for documenting and escalating discrepancies
  • Previous experience within healthcare, allied health, or NDIS environments is advantageous but not essential
