As a Social Media Community Manager & Research Specialist, you will serve as the real-time voice for major North American event brands. Your mission is two-fold: managing intense "spike" periods of community engagement during live events (predominantly on Saturdays) and conducting deep-dive competitive research during quieter windows. This role is perfect for someone who can maintain a professional brand voice under pressure while possessing the analytical curiosity to gather market intelligence that shapes future marketing strategies.

Our client is a powerhouse digital marketing agency specializing in high-energy North American live events, such as major air shows and concerts. Boasting a staggering 40-50% annual growth over the last five years and having managed over 160 events recently, they are a dominant force in the entertainment industry. They value proactive communication and data-driven insights to keep their clients ahead of the curve.

Schedule

  • Friday: 06:00 PM – 10:00 PM Central Time
  • Saturday: 09:00 AM – 08:00 PM Central Time
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 04:00 PM Central Time
  • (21 hours per week, specifically designed to cover the peak event window)

Responsibilities

Community Management & Engagement

  • Real-Time Interaction: Monitor and respond to inquiries across 2-3 active social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) throughout the workday.
  • Customer Support: Provide timely, professional responses to comments on ads and direct messages using provided FAQ templates to ensure attendee satisfaction.
  • Live Updates: Communicate critical event updates, schedule changes, and weather-related announcements through official social channels.
  • Crisis Mitigation: Handle the "Saturday Spike" when inquiry volumes peak, ensuring no question goes unanswered during the heat of a live event.

Research & Competitive Intelligence

  • Market Analysis: Conduct competitor research and data gathering projects, including historical analysis of competitor tour schedules and pricing models.
  • Strategy Support: Perform specialized internet research tasks to support long-term marketing strategy and client planning.
  • Data Maintenance: Maintain organized records of competitor activity and audience sentiment trends to brief the internal team.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in social media community management and high-volume customer engagement and assistant in Marketing research.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional written English skills with the ability to adapt to different brand voices (from high-energy concerts to family-oriented air shows).
  • Platform Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and modern social media management tools.
  • Weekend Availability: Absolute commitment to the Friday–Sunday schedule, as this is when the core work happens.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable performing deep-dive research and organizing findings into actionable data.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Events, Entertainment, or Hospitality industries (Highly Regarded).
  • Strong background in data gathering and competitive analysis (Preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
