HR Coordinator (Australian Workforce)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to support end-to-end HR administration for an Australian-based workforce. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing employee lifecycle processes, maintaining compliance with Australian employment requirements, and providing professional HR support to managers and employees.

This role requires strong knowledge of Australian employment practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple HR priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Australian Eastern Time, 40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end HR administration processes for an Australian workforce.
  • Prepare employment contracts, contract variations, HR documentation, and employee records.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
  • Process resignations, terminations, and employment changes in line with Australian employment requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance on Australian employment conditions, including:
    • Modern Awards
    • National Employment Standards (NES)
    • Leave entitlements
    • Notice periods
    • Other employee entitlements and obligations
  • Draft professional HR correspondence, including employee communications, performance management documentation, and disciplinary letters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
  • Support recruitment activities, including candidate coordination, interviews, and hiring processes.
  • Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Liaise professionally with managers and employees across multiple locations.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in HR administration or coordination supporting an Australian workforce.
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, Modern Awards, and employee entitlements.
  • Experience managing employee lifecycle processes, including:
    • Onboarding
    • Probation management
    • Performance management support
    • Employee relations matters
    • Resignations and terminations
  • Experience supporting industries such as hospitality, cleaning, labour hire, or high-volume workforce environments is advantageous.
  • Experience using HR platforms such as Employment Hero or similar systems is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with managers and teams.
