Job Overview
Our client is seeking a creative and empathetic Social Media Growth Manager (Patient & Caregiver Community) to develop engaging content and grow their online presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. This role will be responsible for creating and publishing content, managing community engagement, building influencer partnerships, and supporting email marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in social media management, content creation, and organic audience growth, with the ability to communicate thoughtfully around sensitive and health-related topics. Our client is looking for an individual with a deep, lived understanding of the patient and caregiver journey, someone who can instinctively relate to the emotional nuances, language, and unique challenges faced by families navigating serious health diagnoses.

Monday to Friday 4 hours per day with 1-2 hours overlap with late afternoons PST (flexible option) (20 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Create thoughtful and visually engaging social media assets and written content aligned with the brand's voice and mission across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Content Scheduling: Schedule and publish daily content, including reels, static posts, and galleries to maintain a consistent posting cadence.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and engage with the online community to foster meaningful interactions, offering a high level of empathy and informed support to community members facing difficult health journeys.
- Influencer Outreach: Conduct influencer outreach and manage partnerships through the company's designated influencer platform.
- Email Marketing Execution: Design and distribute email marketing campaigns to nurture customer relationships and drive engagement.
- Brand Audit: Review current email structure within the Shopify system to ensure the branding is consistent across all automatic shopping emails.
- Operational Support: Support general administrative tasks as time permits to assist with day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Platform Management: Proven experience managing social media accounts for brands across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Sensitive Content Development & Lived Empathy: Demonstrated ability to create compelling visual and written content for multiple social platforms, especially on sensitive, medical, or health-related topics. A profound understanding of the caregiver, patient, or inner-circle support dynamics surrounding chronic or serious illnesses (such as oncology) is highly preferred.
- Email Marketing Literacy: Direct experience working with email marketing platforms, specifically Klaviyo.
- Audience Growth Strategy: Strong understanding of organic growth strategies, community management, and social media analytics.
- Partnership Building: Ability to create direct relationships with products and partners for co-posting, sweepstakes, and other unique posts.
- Emotional Intelligence: High level of empathy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to communicate sensitively around health-related topics. Must understand how target audiences react to health-related content and be able to navigate conversations with extreme care, authenticity, and respect.
- Autonomy & Systems Workflow: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following day-to-day content guidance; clear communicator with the ability to create and update workflows and assignments in an easy-to-read daily deliverable.
