Data Analyst (Part-Time, Remote)
Job Description:
The Data Analyst will clean, organise, and prepare client data for use by senior analysts. This role is crucial for improving operational efficiency, reducing manual data-cleaning work, and ensuring that the firm’s data is structured and accurate.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, practical problem-solver, and doer, able to work independently, learn new platforms quickly, and communicate clearly with internal teams and clients when clarification is needed.
Schedule:
Part-time — 20 hours per week
Monday – Friday, preferred afternoon shift (example: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM UK time)

United Kingdom (UK time zone)
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean raw client data from platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and other client systems
- Organise unstructured or messy datasets into usable Excel files and reports
- Prepare data in formats suitable for analysis by senior staff
- Support senior analysts with data preparation tasks, freeing them for higher-level insights
- Identify missing or inconsistent data and proactively resolve issues
- Learn and navigate new platforms independently as required
- Maintain clear records of processed data and share updates with internal teams
- Communicate proactively with clients or internal teams for clarifications
- Suggest practical improvements to data processes where applicable
Requirements (Skills):
- Strong problem-solving ability; proactive and independent mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (data manipulation, structuring, cleaning, and basic reporting)
- Ability to work independently without step-by-step guidance
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and proactive communication skills
- Curious, practical, and able to take initiative in unfamiliar systems or workflows
- Comfortable working with multiple e-commerce and finance/accounting platforms (experience with Xero or QuickBooks is a plus)
- Bonus: knowledge of finance or accounting principles
