Your Role: Video Content Strategist / Social Media Specialist
Schedule- Monday-Friday Pacific Time, flexible .
Responsibilities:
- Edit and polish long-form YouTube videos (5–30 minutes) to elevate production quality and viewer engagement
- Design compelling thumbnails for all existing and upcoming video content
- Source and integrate relevant third-party content, B-roll, and visual elements to enhance videos beyond a talking-head format
- Develop and execute a content strategy to grow YouTube viewership and subscriber base
- Manage and optimize LinkedIn presence, aligning messaging with the YouTube channel's brand
- Recommend and utilize appropriate editing tools and workflows to streamline post-production
Requirements:
- Proven portfolio demonstrating YouTube video editing and channel growth experience (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, SEO, and audience engagement strategies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take strategic ownership of content output
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to consistent brand quality
- Experience managing social media accounts alongside video content production
Scope:
- Start with part-time hours (20 hrs/week) with the potential to grow into a full-time role
- Retroactively create thumbnails for 12 existing videos and edit future content on an ongoing basis
- Operate as a strategic partner — proactively proposing content improvements, not just executing instructions
- Integrate LinkedIn content strategy with the YouTube channel to build a cohesive personal brand
- Provide recommendations on tools, formats, and best practices to continuously improve content quality
