Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support the first stage of the customer outreach process.
This is not a sales or closing role. Your main responsibility will be making outbound calls, following a provided script, confirming basic lead information, and updating records accurately before passing interested contacts to the internal team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in cold calling, customer service, appointment setting, or phone-based support who enjoys speaking with people and staying organized.
Client Overview:
A New York-based financial services company specializing in mortgage lead generation. The business operates a structured outreach process in which initial lead verification is handled separately by a dedicated team, allowing senior representatives to focus on qualified opportunities.
Schedule:
- Mondays to Fridays, flexible schedule between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (US Eastern Time, 35 hours per week)
Scope:
- Support the initial stage of the lead management process
- Focus on contact verification and information gathering
- Help improve efficiency by preparing qualified leads for senior team members
- Maintain accurate CRM records and organized follow-up processes
- Become a dependable support resource within the company’s outreach workflow
Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to the provided lead lists using the company systems
- Follow a structured script to verify customer information and interest
- Ask basic qualifying questions and document responses accurately
- Update lead details, call outcomes, and notes inside Zoho CRM
- Identify valid leads and flag them for follow-up by the internal team
- Maintain organized records and ensure data accuracy
- Meet daily activity goals for calls and completed lead reviews
- Communicate feedback regarding lead quality or common customer responses
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cold calling, telemarketing, customer service, or lead qualification
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls
- Clear and professional English communication skills
- Ability to follow scripts while keeping conversations natural
- Strong attention to detail for CRM updates and data entry
- Experience using Zoho CRM or similar platforms is preferred
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Availability to work aligned with EST business hours
