Paralegal

Job Overview 
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Paralegal Assistant to support attorneys and legal staff in a fast-paced law firm environment. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience assisting with case management, legal documentation, client communications, and administrative legal support. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a remote setting.
 
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30 am - 5:30pm EST, 1 hour unpaid break, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Maintain and organize digital case files and legal records.
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, court dates, and client appointments.
  • Assist with case preparation, document collection, and evidence organization.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
  • Conduct legal and factual research as assigned.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
  • Coordinate intake processes and maintain accurate case management records.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Generate reports and maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information.
  • Utilize legal software, document management systems, and remote collaboration tools effectively.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal Assistant, Legal Assistant, or similar legal support role.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document preparation.
  • Experience with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience managing multiple cases and competing deadlines.
  • High-speed internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.
  • Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Personal Injury, Immigration, Family Law, Probate, or Civil Litigation.
  • Familiarity with e-filing systems and court portals.
  • Experience working with remote legal teams.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Haitian Creole) is a plus.
