Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a motivated and energetic Insurance Lead Qualifier / Telemarketer to manage high-volume outbound calling and initial prospect engagement. This role is focused on quickly contacting new leads, confirming interest, qualifying opportunities, and transferring ready prospects to licensed insurance agents. The ideal candidate enjoys phone-based communication, can maintain high activity levels, and understands the importance of persistence and speed in a competitive sales environment.
Client Overview:
A growing U.S.-based insurance agency specializing in home, auto, life, and health insurance products. The agency is scaling its sales operations by creating a dedicated lead qualification team, allowing licensed insurance agents to focus on quoting, consultations, and closing new customers. With hundreds of new internet leads generated weekly, the company is looking to improve speed-to-contact and maximize conversion opportunities before competitors reach potential customers.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 40 work hours per week based on EDT business hours
Responsibilities:
Outbound Calling & Lead Engagement
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls to provided internet leads
- Prioritize recently received leads to maximize speed-to-contact
- Follow structured scripts while maintaining natural conversations
- Introduce the agency and create a positive first impression
- Identify interested prospects and confirm basic qualification details
- Perform consistent follow-ups with leads who were not reached initially
Lead Qualification & Sales Handoff
- Determine customer interest and readiness to speak with a licensed insurance agent
- Transfer qualified live prospects directly to the internal sales team
- Ensure smooth communication and accurate handoff information
- Help licensed agents focus their time on quoting and closing opportunities
- Follow company processes to maximize lead conversion rates
Lead Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain accurate call notes and activity records
- Update lead statuses using provided spreadsheets or tracking systems
- Organize daily calling activity and follow-up priorities
- Track outcomes including: Contact attempts, conversations, qualified leads, and transfers completed
- Work with leadership to improve calling performance
Requirements:
- Previous experience in: Outbound calling, telemarketing, appointment setting, lead qualification, or sales development
- Strong English communication skills with a professional phone presence
- Ability to make a high volume of daily calls consistently
- Confident handling objections and rejection professionally
- Positive, energetic, and persistent attitude
- Strong attention to detail when tracking leads and outcomes
- Comfortable working with: Cloud-based dialers, spreadsheets, and online communication tools
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Qualifications:
- Previous insurance industry experience is highly regarded
- Experience supporting U.S.-based sales teams
- Familiarity with insurance products such as: Auto, home, life, and health insurance
- Experience with internet leads from platforms such as: Lead providers, online inquiries, and web forms
- Experience using cloud dialer platforms and CRM systems
