Real Estate Operations & Compliance Manager (Australian Real Estate)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Real Estate Operations & Compliance Manager to work directly with the business owner in supporting the operational, compliance, and strategic functions of a growing Australian real estate business.

This role is designed for an experienced real estate professional who understands Australian property management and agency operations and is interested in further developing their expertise through the CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management).

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving business systems, supporting agency compliance, documenting operational procedures, and assisting with strategic business initiatives.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday - 1:00PM-5:00PM Melbourne Time. ( 20 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

Agency Operations

  • Support day-to-day agency operations across property management and real estate functions.
  • Monitor operational workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with implementation of agency procedures and best practices.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain compliance with Australian real estate legislation and industry regulations.
  • Assist with trust account and agency documentation processes.
  • Monitor compliance requirements and escalate risks or issues.

Business & Strategic Support

  • Work closely with the business owner on operational initiatives and special projects.
  • Assist with business planning and operational reporting.
  • Support implementation of growth and efficiency initiatives.

SOP & Process Documentation

  • Create and maintain operational procedures and process documentation.
  • Develop workflow guides and training materials.
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate and current.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with property owners, tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders as required.
  • Support client communication and service delivery initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • 3+ years’ experience within the Australian Real Estate Industry. (US are welcome)
  • Strong understanding of Property Management and Real Estate Operations.
  • Experience with Australian real estate compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong process improvement and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive and Resourceful
  • Good Communication both Verbal and Written

Highly Preferred

  • Previous experience in agency operations or management.
  • Exposure to trust accounting processes.
  • Experience creating SOPs and operational documentation.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience and Interest in completing or supporting CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management).
  • PLUS Factor - Candidate can create a learning course generic format (not a requirement)

Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of agency operations.
  • Support compliance and operational requirements effectively.
  • Build and maintain key operational SOPs.
  • Become a trusted operational partner to the business owner.
  • Progress toward agency management competencies aligned with CPP51122.
