Multi-Entity Bookkeeper (AP/AR & Payroll | Xero Specialist)

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Entity Bookkeeper (AP/AR & Payroll | Xero Specialist) to oversee day-to-day financial activities across both our Australian and New Zealand entities. The role involves maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll processes, and ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive professional who works well in a structured environment and is comfortable operating independently.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week
  •  Flexible schedule but must have alignment once a week with the client during Brisbane business hours

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processing in Xero across multiple entities
  • Support fortnightly payroll processing in Xero
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
  • Process intercompany charges between the New Zealand and Australian entities
  • Maintain organized financial records to support management reporting and payment authorizations
  • Assist with general accounting administration and data entry tasks as required
  • Ensure all accounts are reconciled and current by the end of each week
  • Support ongoing financial processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience and proficiency in Xero (A must-have requirement)
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Strong proficiency in Xero (Xero Certification highly regarded)
  • Experience with payroll processing and multi-entity accounting environments
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet recurring deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based accounting systems
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable remote working environment
