Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Shopify Developer & Designer to bring our clothing brand’s online presence to life from scratch. In this role, you will have the creative freedom to shape a stunning, modern e-commerce experience that resonates with our audience. You will blend technical Shopify expertise with a sharp eye for visual branding, managing everything from initial launch to ongoing backend optimization. Schedule:

• Part-Time, 20 hours per week, flexible during client business hours (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Responsibilities:

• Build and Design from Scratch: Partner directly with the business owner to align on brand vision, building a professional, modern Shopify website that reflects a clean, visually appealing identity.
• Launch and Optimize: Configure product listings, collections, and navigation to ensure the store is fully optimized for a seamless customer experience and high conversions.
• Transition to Ongoing Maintenance: Manage the post-launch phase by performing routine website updates, product additions, and design improvements to keep the storefront fresh.
• Technical Management: Handle day-to-day back-end management, ensuring optimal mobile responsiveness, smooth performance, and site reliability.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve: Act as the technical lead to independently identify and fix bugs, code customization challenges, or platform issues within Shopify.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience building and managing Shopify e-commerce websites
• Strong understanding of Shopify themes, customization, and Liquid templating
• High level of attention to detail, particularly around design and brand consistency
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during Australian business hours
• Strong written communication skills for providing updates and collaborating remotely
