Job Overview

Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Content Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for turning raw video footage into highly engaging social media content, managing the content calendar, and maintaining an active brand presence across various platforms.

Schedule

• Flexible during client business hours, Australian Eastern Standard Time (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Edit and repurpose raw video footage into engaging social media content tailored for Instagram reels, carousels, and other trending formats
• Build and manage a content calendar, scheduling posts across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms via the CRM scheduling tool
• Monitor comments and engagement across social media platforms, maintaining an active and responsive brand presence
• Stay current with Instagram algorithm changes, trending content styles, and emerging creative formats to keep the brand relevant
• Collaborate with the brand owner to develop fresh content ideas while maintaining the established brand look and feel
• Repurpose podcast episodes and app-related footage into bite-sized social media content
•  Manage the batch processing of content from intensive filming periods for scheduled distribution over several weeks 

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing using tools such as CapCut and DaVinci Resolve
• Strong understanding of Instagram content strategy, including reels, carousels, and engagement best practices
• Creative mindset with the ability to take direction while also proactively contributing ideas
• High level of attention to detail, particularly around brand consistency and visual aesthetics
• Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Ability to manage workload efficiently, especially during high-volume content periods
