Digital Marketing Specialist

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a proactive and creative Digital Marketing Specialist to manage and grow their online presence. In this role, you will focus on organic social media content creation, community engagement, and gradually expand into paid advertising and general administrative support. You will collaborate closely with the business owner to learn their niche tourism product and represent it authentically across multiple digital platforms.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4 hours per day (20 work hours per week), 9am - 1pm | Australian Eastern Time

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule regular social media posts across Facebook and other platforms to maintain a consistent brand presence
  • Develop and edit video content from existing footage to produce engaging social media assets
  • Monitor and manage audience engagement, responding to comments and enquiries using templated responses
  • Support the setup and management of Facebook advertising campaigns as budget becomes available
  • Assist with email marketing initiatives to nurture leads and re-engage past enquiries
  • Explore and utilise built-in marketing tools within the existing WIX website platform
  • Contribute to building a multi-platform digital presence including Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a small business or tourism brand
  • Strong understanding of content creation, including basic video editing and image curation
  • Familiarity with Facebook business pages, scheduling tools, and social media best practices
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across platforms
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
