Junior UI/UX Designer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly detailed Junior UI/UX Designer to create and improve user interfaces for our digital platforms and web applications. In this role, you will develop wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes while collaborating with developers and stakeholders to build intuitive user experiences. As an innovative education company serving students across the US and China, our goal is to enhance global learning through user-centered design. Job Highlights

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9 am - 6 pm PST with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

 

Responsibilities

• Design and improve user interfaces for company websites and digital platforms.
• Create user-centered experiences for web and mobile applications.
• Develop wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and user journeys.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Participate in design reviews and iterate based on feedback.
• Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility, and user experience best practices.
• Identify user pain points and recommend improvements to enhance the overall experience.
• Maintain consistency across user journeys, interaction patterns, and design systems.
• Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction,
Information Technology, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field is preferred
• Portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects, academic work, capstone projects, personal projects, internships, or freelance work.
• Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design and prototyping tools.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles, wireframing, prototyping, information architecture, and usability best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to receive feedback and apply it constructively.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, or prototypes through academic, personal, or internship projects.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles.
• Basic understanding of user research and usability testing.
• Interest in education technology, digital products, or student-focused platforms.
