Bookkeeper (QBO Certified ProAdvisor) & Tax Data Specialist

Job Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Tax Data Entry Specialist to manage client financial records using QuickBooks Online and support tax preparation through accurate data entry. This role involves bookkeeping, account reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable management, and processing tax documents in Intuit ProSeries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and experienced in handling financial and tax-related data.

Responsibilities

Quickbooks Online

  • Maintain and update client bookkeeping files to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage day-to-day accounting tasks.
  • Set up and maintain the Chart of Accounts for proper financial reporting.
  • Perform Balance Sheet adjustments and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Match bank deposits to invoices to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Data Entry

  • Perform accurate data entry of client information and tax forms into Intuit Pro Series software
  • Handle common tax forms including W-2, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-B, 1099-R, and 1098
  • Maintain accurate records of client income and expenses
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and manage financial data efficiently
  • Ensure all client data is entered correctly, reviewed thoroughly, and compliant with company standards
  • Support the tax preparation process by providing timely and precise data entry

Requirements

Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification: Certified QuickBooks Online (QBO) ProAdvisor.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping and high-level data entry, with advanced knowledge of QBO.
  • Tax Knowledge: Experienced with tax data entry (Intuit ProSeries preferred) and familiar with common tax forms (W-2, 1098, and 1099-NEC/MISC/B/R).

Core Competencies & Technical Skills

  • Bookkeeping & Accounting: Proficient in maintaining client files, managing the Chart of Accounts, performing Balance Sheet adjustments, handling AR/AP, invoicing, and matching bank deposits.
  • Software: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing income and expense data.
  • Soft Skills: High level of accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently.
