Technical Data Contractor (Passive Fire Compliance)

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a highly detail-oriented Technical Data Contractor to maintain and expand their internal passive fire compliance database. This role is responsible for reviewing technical reports, extracting and organizing critical compliance information, maintaining profile libraries, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency across our systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with existing profile schedules, test reports, AI rules, and internal procedures to upload, update, and maintain passive fire profiles. This is a documentation, data management, and quality control role.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 1-hour unpaid break | Australian Eastern Time

Responsibilities

  • Review passive fire test reports, assessment reports, and technical documentation.
  • Extract relevant profile, treatment, and compliance information.
  • Create and maintain passive fire profiles within internal systems.
  • Update existing profiles to reflect new or revised information.
  • Maintain profile naming conventions and data standards.
  • Identify and prevent duplicate profile creation.
  • Add and maintain information including: Service sizes, Wall and floor types, Fire Resistance Levels (FRLs), Treatments, and Installation requirements.
  • Link and reference relevant test reports and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain profile images and associated records where available.
  • Ensure the master profile schedule remains accurate, organized, and consistent.
  • Follow established AI rules, profile standards, and internal procedures.
  • Flag unclear, incomplete, or conflicting information for review.
  • Perform ongoing quality control and continuous improvement of the profile library.
  • Support the long-term integrity and reliability of the company's compliance database.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working with spreadsheets, databases, or structured data systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Strong ability to review and interpret technical documentation.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, naming conventions, and documentation standards.
  • Experience identifying inconsistencies, duplicates, and data quality issues.
  • Comfortable using AI tools and structured prompts to support documentation workflows.
