Job Overview

As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that increase brand visibility, drive engagement, and attract new wholesale customers. You will create compelling content, manage social media platforms, oversee digital advertising campaigns, and help strengthen the company's online presence.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated marketing professional who enjoys taking ownership of digital initiatives and can independently develop strategies that support business growth and lead generation.

Work Schedule: 20hrs per week, Flexible within client's business hours | Australian Eastern Time

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy & Content Creation

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and online visibility
  • Create, curate, and publish engaging content that highlights the company's products, services, and industry expertise
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social media platforms
  • Research industry trends and identify opportunities to increase audience engagement and reach
  • Build content calendars to ensure consistent posting and audience interaction

Community Management & Lead Engagement

  • Monitor social media channels and respond to inquiries from prospective wholesale customers
  • Engage with followers, industry contacts, and potential clients to build relationships and trust
  • Identify and nurture inbound leads generated through social media activities
  • Escalate qualified sales opportunities to the business owner for follow-up

Digital Advertising & Lead Generation

  • Plan, launch, and manage social media advertising campaigns
  • Optimize campaigns to generate qualified inbound leads and maximize return on investment
  • Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve results
  • Test creative content, messaging, and audience targeting strategies to improve engagement and conversion rates

Profile Optimization & Reporting

  • Optimize social media profiles to improve visibility, discoverability, and search performance
  • Support broader digital marketing efforts that contribute to improved online presence and search rankings
  • Track key performance metrics including engagement, reach, lead generation, and campaign effectiveness
  • Provide regular reports and recommendations for ongoing improvement

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content marketing
  • Proven track record of growing social media engagement and online brand presence
  • Strong content creation and copywriting skills
  • Experience managing paid social media advertising campaigns
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling, analytics, and reporting tools

Preferred:

  • Experience marketing products within manufacturing, wholesale, construction, or industrial industries
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital lead generation strategies
  • Experience creating visual content using Canva or similar design platforms
