Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reconciliations
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts across multiple entities.
- Reconcile work-in-progress (WIP), project, asset, liability, and clearing accounts.
- Maintain supporting schedules and reconciliation documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Support audit preparation and provide required documentation.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and account balances.
Fixed Assets & Financial Reporting
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Process asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Support financial analysis and reporting requirements.
- Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies.
Product Costing & Pricing
- Maintain and update product cost sheets and pricing models.
- Analyze product, project, and program costs.
- Calculate margins, profitability, and cost variances.
- Assist in developing and maintaining pricing structures.
- Prepare costing reports and support commercial decision-making.
- Monitor estimated versus actual costs and investigate variances.
Inventory, Purchasing & Billing Support
- Create and maintain item master records.
- Update product cost values within company systems.
- Manage and maintain price lists.
- Create purchase orders and support procurement-related activities.
- Issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Review supplier invoices and validate pricing accuracy.
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrections where required.
General Finance Support
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Support process improvement initiatives and internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and costing issues.
- Assist the Finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, assistant accounting, cost accounting, or management accounting.
- Strong experience with:
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Month-end close activities
- Product costing and pricing analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work full-time during US business hours.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, retail, logistics, or product-based businesses.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Experience with inventory accounting and inventory valuation.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- CPA qualification or progress toward certification is advantageous.
