We are a dynamic content team focused on transforming long-form podcasts and interview recordings into engaging videos for YouTube and short-form social platforms. Our focus goes beyond basic technical splicing; we value strong editorial instinct and a deep understanding of Chinese audience preferences. We aim to create high-impact, trend-aware visuals that truly resonate with Chinese-speaking communities globally.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday (flexible time following Pacific time zone)
Responsibilities:
- Edit full-length podcast and interview recordings into polished YouTube uploads (intro/outro, captions, and b-roll if supplied)
- Cut long-form content into engaging short-form videos optimized for social media platforms
- Add captions, sound design, transitions, and hooks that align with current content trends
- Identify compelling moments from long-form content and recommend clips worth repurposing
- Adapt editing style, pacing, captions, and storytelling techniques to engage Chinese-speaking audiences better
- Stay updated on content trends, creator styles, and audience preferences within Chinese-language content spaces
Requirements:
Chinese Content Familiarity
- Familiarity with Chinese-language content, creators, and online media trends
- Comfortable understanding spoken Mandarin well enough to identify engaging content moments and edit accurately
- Experience editing Chinese-language content is highly preferred
- Native Mandarin fluency is not required, but strong exposure to Chinese-language content and culture is preferred
- Understanding of audience preferences, pacing, caption styles, and storytelling techniques commonly used in Chinese-language content

Ideal Background
- Portfolio with both long-form edits and short-form clips — both are required (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Experience editing content for creators, media brands, educational channels, podcasts, or interview-based content
- Strong understanding of audience retention, hooks, pacing, and storytelling
- Ability to identify and recommend engaging content moments rather than simply executing edits
- Experience working with content targeting Chinese-speaking audiences is highly preferred
- Has edited content for Chinese-speaking audiences, creators, media brands, educational companies, or digital platforms (preferred)
- Understands that podcast edits and short-form content require different pacing, structure, and energy
