Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced, meticulous Food & Beverage QuickBooks Bookkeeper to handle full-cycle accounting operations across multiple restaurant entities and an integrated catering business. In this part-time remote position, you will manage complex financial pipelines, reconcile automated payment processing systems, and take charge of high-volume ledger adjustments. This role is ideal for a process-driven bookkeeping professional with a background in the food and beverage industry who can comfortably manage manual supplier invoices, generate financial forecasts, and streamline backend operational systems to support business growth.

Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Execute complete financial bookkeeping cycles for multiple restaurant locations and a busy catering subsidiary.
- Manual Data Entry: Process and catalog handwritten invoices systematically from local farm-to-table culinary suppliers with zero error margins.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all incoming ACH transfers, electronic funds transfers (EFT), automated merchant debits, and secondary banking platforms within QuickBooks.
- Ledger Adjustments: Monitor and track complex inter-company corporate loans while executing necessary journal entries and general ledger adjustments.
- Reporting & Projections: Generate detailed monthly budget projections, cash flow sheets, and financial status reports for restaurant department heads.
- Tax Alignment: Keep all financial books organized, verified, and perfectly maintained in preparation for quarterly and end-of-year tax filing periods.
- Administrative Operations: Provide structural back-office administrative support to modernize workflows and increase day-to-day organizational efficiency.
Requirements
- Technical Software Competency: Deep proficiency with QuickBooks, coupled with functional familiarity operating Square POS and TripleSeat hospitality software.
- Industry Experience: Proven background managing accounts, inventory logs, or bookkeeping systems specifically within the restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage industry.
- Data Precision: Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy levels when handling manual alphanumeric data entry and financial logs.
- Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of U.S. tax codes, quarterly business filing requirements, and standard payroll processing frameworks.
- Communication & Autonomy: Proactive communication style with a high comfort level asking clarifying questions and the ability to work independently to resolve complex transaction categorizations.
Qualifications
- A completed university education or a formal QuickBooks certification is highly preferred.

- Immediate Priorities: The initial phase of this contract will focus heavily on auditing and clearing a significant existing backlog of financial data.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner directly with ownership to develop and implement corporate accountability metrics and enhanced reporting tools.
