We are seeking a detail-oriented Social Media Moderator (Statusbrew) to manage online community engagement and maintain a positive brand presence across multiple platforms. Using Statusbrew, you will monitor comments, handle spam or troll activity, and provide timely responses to customer inquiries using approved guidelines. Job Highlights

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm with 1 hr unpaid break, EST Timezone

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor social media platforms daily using Statusbrew
  • Hide, delete, or manage spam, inappropriate, or troll comments
  • Respond to frequently asked questions using approved canned responses
  • Escalate legitimate customer concerns or sensitive issues to the internal team
  • Monitor giveaway campaigns, ad comments, and organic post engagement
  • Ban or restrict repeat problem users when necessary
  • Identify and tag potential leads, customers, or high-priority interactions
  • Maintain a professional and brand-aligned tone in all interactions
  • Track recurring issues and provide feedback to the team when needed
  • Support overall community engagement and maintain a positive online environment

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in social media moderation, community management, or customer support roles
  • Familiarity with social media management platforms such as Statusbrew, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar tools
  • Strong written English communication skills
  • Ability to handle negative comments and difficult interactions professionally
  • High attention to detail and ability to identify spam, fake engagement, or escalation-worthy issues
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to incoming activity
  • Understanding of social media etiquette, engagement, and online brand reputation management
