Appointment Setter

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and personable Appointment Setter to support our outbound sales efforts within the retail sector. In this role, you will connect with novelty stores and bookstores across the U.S., introduce our product line, and help generate interest through strategic outreach and relationship-building.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, excels at cold calling, and takes pride in creating meaningful connections that drive business growth.

Work Schedule: Part-time (25 hours/week), Monday to Friday, flexible hours in CST

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound B2B cold calls to novelty stores, bookstores, and other targeted retail accounts.
  • Introduce the company's products and generate interest among prospective customers.
  • Follow up with prospects after sample kits have been delivered to nurture relationships and encourage initial orders.
  • Qualify leads and identify key decision-makers within target accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, call outcomes, and prospect information within HubSpot CRM.
  • Consistently meet daily outreach goals while maintaining a friendly, consultative, and non-pushy communication style.
  • Coordinate with the internal sales team to transition qualified opportunities for closing.
  • Provide feedback on prospect responses, common objections, and market trends to help improve outreach efforts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B cold calling, appointment setting, lead generation, or sales development.
  • Hands-on experience using HubSpot CRM to manage contacts, activities, and follow-ups.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a professional, engaging, and customer-focused phone presence.
  • Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment where processes and messaging may evolve.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage follow-up schedules effectively.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for building relationships and generating new business opportunities.

Engagement Details

  • Part-time position averaging 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, Monday through Friday).
  • Schedule aligned with U.S. Central hours.
  • Initial focus on brand awareness, prospect engagement, and sample kit distribution.
  • Opportunity to contribute to order generation as relationships progress through the sales cycle.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth lead handoff and effective follow-up processes.
