Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly creative, strategic, and proactive Marketing & Campaigns Lead to support the growth and development of our restaurant brand. This role is ideal for an experienced marketing professional who can take ownership of the brand's digital presence, contribute innovative ideas, and help drive customer engagement and business growth.
Working closely with the business owner, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives, overseeing social media strategy, creating compelling content, and identifying opportunities to strengthen brand awareness within the local community.
This position requires someone who can think beyond content execution and act as a trusted marketing partner by bringing fresh ideas, strategic insights, and creative direction to the business.
Schedule:
- Mondays to Fridays, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours (Australian Eastern Time, 20 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy & Marketing Leadership
- Develop and implement marketing strategies that support brand growth, customer engagement, and revenue objectives.
- Take ownership of the brand's social media and digital marketing presence.
- Identify opportunities to promote menu offerings, seasonal campaigns, special events, and business initiatives.
- Provide creative direction and strategic recommendations to strengthen the brand's market position.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing opportunities.
- Social Media Management
- Manage and maintain the company's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Develop and execute content strategies aligned with business goals and brand identity.
- Schedule and publish content across platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Monitor audience engagement and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Drive audience growth through strategic content planning and community engagement.
- Content Creation & Campaign Development
- Create engaging social media content, including graphics, reels, videos, stories, and promotional materials.
- Develop compelling copy and storytelling that reflects the brand's personality and values.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, product launches, and community-focused initiatives.
- Coordinate content highlighting menu items, desserts, breads, cakes, customer experiences, and behind-the-scenes operations.
- Collaborate with the business owner to develop innovative marketing concepts and promotional opportunities.
- Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Build relationships with local influencers, community groups, and potential brand partners.
- Identify and coordinate collaboration opportunities that increase brand awareness and customer reach.
- Support initiatives that strengthen the brand's connection with the local Sydney community.
- Research hospitality and food industry trends to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.
- Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Monitor social media performance and campaign effectiveness.
- Analyze engagement metrics and audience insights.
- Provide regular reports and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, brand management, or a related field.
- Proven ability to develop and execute marketing strategies independently.
- Strong understanding of branding, content marketing, audience engagement, and social media best practices.
- Experience working with hospitality, restaurant, café, bakery, food, or lifestyle brands is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Canva, Meta Business Suite, Instagram, TikTok, and social media scheduling tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have:
- Experience leading marketing campaigns from concept through execution.
- Experience working with Australian businesses or brands.
- Basic photography, videography, and video editing skills.
- Experience with influencer marketing and community partnerships.
- Knowledge of paid social media advertising.
- Understanding of Filipino culture and cuisine.
