Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce engaging short-form social media content for hospitality and lifestyle brands. This role will focus on editing fast-paced, visually appealing videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, while maintaining brand consistency and delivering high-quality content on tight turnaround times.
The ideal candidate has experience editing hospitality, food, or lifestyle content and understands how to create attention-grabbing videos optimized for social media performance.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video content (under 60 seconds) for social media platforms such as Instagram Reels
- Produce polished face-to-camera videos with overlays, transitions, captions, and text elements
- Deliver 5–10 edited video assets per week with quick turnaround times
- Review, organise, and manage raw footage provided by the in-house videographer or freelancers
- Maintain brand consistency and visual quality across all client content
- Support basic copywriting and content scheduling tasks as needed
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to align content with campaign goals
- Stay updated on current social media video trends and editing styles
Requirements
- Must share a portfolio
- Proven experience in video editing for social media platforms
- Previous experience within hospitality, food, or lifestyle industries is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar video editing software
- Strong eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple editing projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of short-form social media content trends
- Portfolio showcasing short-form video editing work
- Good communication and time management skills
Schedule
- Part-time role (20 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Flexible working hours between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Double Bay, NSW time
