Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to manage and grow personal social media accounts focused on real estate branding and property marketing. This role is responsible for creating engaging content, editing short-form videos, scheduling posts, and maintaining a consistent online presence across multiple social media platforms.

The ideal candidate has experience in social media management, content creation, and real estate marketing, with a strong understanding of current social media trends and audience engagement strategies.

Schedule: 20 hours a week flexible during client business hours
Client Time-zone: US Pacific

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging and visually appealing social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Edit high-quality images and short-form videos for reels, shorts, and promotional content
  • Draft compelling captions and marketing copy tailored to each platform
  • Schedule and publish posts using social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer
  • Maintain and manage a monthly content calendar to ensure consistent posting and audience engagement
  • Post and promote property listings with links directing audiences to MLS listings or personal websites
  • Monitor social media notifications, comments, and messages and provide basic audience engagement
  • Track and report on social media performance, reach, engagement, and content effectiveness
  • Collaborate directly with the owner to align content with branding and marketing goals
  • Participate in a continuous feedback and optimization process to improve overall social media strategy

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist, Content Creator, or similar role
  • Familiarity with the real estate industry and property marketing strategies
  • Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms
  • Experience using social media scheduling platforms including Hootsuite or Buffer
  • Strong creative writing and copywriting skills for captions and promotional content
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple content deadlines
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week during agreed working hours
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and engagement tactics
  • Portfolio showcasing previous social media management, video editing, or content creation work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing personal brand or real estate-focused social media accounts
  • Knowledge of short-form video trends and viral content strategies
  • Basic graphic design skills for marketing and promotional materials
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media performance metrics
