Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced part-time Social Media & Community Manager who can take ownership of our Facebook and Instagram presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media management, content creation, audience engagement, and brand growth.
As our products and services operate within a specialized industry, we are looking for someone who can quickly learn technical concepts and transform them into engaging, easy-to-understand content for our target audience.
A key challenge in this role is creating compelling content with limited access to original photos and video footage, so creativity, resourcefulness, and strong design skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Voltanic's Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Develop and execute a social media content strategy aligned with brand goals.
- Create engaging social media content, including graphics, carousels, short-form videos, and educational posts.
- Plan and schedule content using social media management tools.
- Research industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant topics within the solar energy sector.
- Grow social media followers and improve audience engagement organically.
- Build brand awareness through consistent and strategic content creation.
- Monitor social media performance and provide regular reporting and recommendations.
- Develop creative campaigns and content ideas despite limited access to real-life product footage and photography.
- Maintain brand consistency across all social media channels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and transform technical topics into audience-friendly content.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing business social media accounts, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
- Experience in social media management, content creation, and audience engagement.
- Strong graphic design and content creation skills.
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
- Ability to create engaging content from limited source materials.
- Understanding of social media growth strategies and best practices.
- Experience planning and scheduling social media content.
- Strong written English communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Experience working with technical, engineering, renewable energy, construction, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of solar energy or a willingness to quickly learn industry concepts is preferred.
