Overview
Are you a data-savvy professional with a background in food prep or retail inventory? We are seeking an Implementation Database Specialist to spearhead the construction, automation, and optimization of our Catapult database systems. In this role, you will collaborate directly with customers, suppliers, and project managers to transform raw data into seamless supply chain solutions that drive successful software onboarding.
Schedule:
- Hours: 40 hours a week
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST
Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards and procedures.
- Identify database requirements by interviewing customers, analyzing customer/vendor-related data, manipulating data, and importing customer-approved data for the creation of the customer’s Catapult database.
- Evaluate new and existing data as provided by suppliers.
- Maintain communication with customers during the build process, answer questions, and request data updates.
- Provide regular updates on the status of each database to the appropriate Project Manager to achieve time-to-market goals.
- Maintain communication with suppliers during the Universal Product Database implementation process, answer questions, and request connection updates.
- Assist existing retail customers implementing the Universal Product Database.
- Conduct research with customers, installers/trainers, suppliers, and others for feedback to improve database construction, onboarding processes, and end results.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to meet the demands of growth and market competition.
Requirements:
- 2- or 4-year degree in a related field preferred.
- Must have food preparation or food costing experience.
- Retail experience is preferred in an inventory management or buyer role.
- Advanced skill set with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with data set management via API.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and use discretion to solve problems for customers and suppliers.
- Excellent email and telephone communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand goals and objectives, and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet multiple timelines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze, disseminate, manipulate, and distribute data.
