Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Bookkeeper to manage financial operations for a portfolio of residential properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a growing real estate enterprise and take ownership of critical financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple properties
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Prepare financial reports and statements for management review
  • Track expenses, revenue, and property-related costs
  • Assist with tax preparation and compliance documentation
  • Manage general ledger accounts and journal entries
  • Coordinate with property managers and contractors regarding invoicing and payments

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in real estate
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties simultaneously
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with property management accounting
  • Familiarity with short-term rental business operations
  • QuickBooks or similar accounting platform experience
