Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Bookkeeper to manage financial operations for a portfolio of residential properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a growing real estate enterprise and take ownership of critical financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple properties
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
- Prepare financial reports and statements for management review
- Track expenses, revenue, and property-related costs
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Manage general ledger accounts and journal entries
- Coordinate with property managers and contractors regarding invoicing and payments
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in real estate
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties simultaneously
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with property management accounting
- Familiarity with short-term rental business operations
- QuickBooks or similar accounting platform experience
