Position Overview
The Social Media Manager will work directly with the founders to lead brand-building, content creation, and social media growth initiatives before launch and after opening.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Development
- Help build and maintain a premium and consistent brand identity
- Ensure visual consistency across all platforms and content
- Assist in developing the brand voice, messaging, and online presence
- Help create a strong lifestyle-focused brand image
Social Media Management
Manage and grow the company’s presence across:
- TikTok
- YouTube Shorts
- Google Business Profile
Responsibilities include:
- Daily posting and scheduling
- Community engagement and audience interaction
- Follower growth strategies
- Social media trend research
- Creating engaging captions and campaigns
- Monitoring engagement and performance metrics
- Developing monthly content calendars
Content Strategy & Creation
Create engaging content related to:
- New fish arrivals
- Aquarium and koi education
- Maintenance tips
- Behind-the-scenes content
- Store build-out updates
- Product previews
- Team introductions
- Rare and specialty fish
- Family-friendly content
- Viral hobbyist content
- Educational short-form videos
Responsibilities include:
- Creating reels and short-form videos
- Basic graphic design
- Video editing
- Content planning and organization
- Repurposing content across multiple platforms
Launch & Community Campaigns
Assist with:
- Pre-launch marketing campaigns
- Countdown campaigns
- Giveaways and contests
- Influencer collaborations
- Community engagement campaigns
- Grand opening promotional content
Requirements
- Proven experience growing social media accounts or brands
- Strong content creation and social media marketing experience
- Experience creating short-form video content
- Basic to intermediate graphic design skills
- Video editing experience
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
- Experience with:
- Canva
- CapCut
- ChatGPT and AI tools
- Google Workspace
- Social media scheduling tools
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proactive and execution-focused
Preferred
- Experience in pets, aquariums, hobbies, or lifestyle brands
- Experience working with influencers
