Work Schedule: 20hrs per week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 1pm | Australian Eastern Time

Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed structural and architectural drafts for multiple shipping container housing configurations (types A through E) to Australian compliance standards
• Design and document structural reinforcement solutions for container modifications, including wall cut-outs, window installations, and doorway openings
• Develop standardised, repeatable modular unit templates that can be used for mass production and regulatory approval
• Draft multi-storey stacking configurations ensuring structural integrity for double and triple-storey container housing
• Collaborate with the business owner to iterate on design concepts and incorporate feedback into revised drafts

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in structural or architectural drafting for modular, prefabricated, or container-based construction
• Strong understanding of Australian building codes and compliance requirements, particularly for the state of Victoria
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver work within tight timelines
• High level of attention to detail, especially regarding structural calculations and regulatory specifications

Scope:

• Initial focus on completing drafts for container housing types B and C, followed by types A, D, and E
• Designs must account for single-storey through to potential triple-storey configurations
• All outputs must be submission-ready for Victorian building compliance and approval processes
• Ongoing refinement of standardised housing templates as the product line evolves
