Amazon Seller Central & Markeplace Manager

Overview:

We are a UK-based tools business looking for a hands-on E-commerce Growth Manager to take ownership of our online sales channels and drive revenue growth.

This is not a junior operator role.

We need someone who can:

  • Set strategy
  • Execute day-to-day work
  • Own revenue performance

You will be responsible for growing sales across:

  • Amazon
  • Direct websites
  • Marketplaces (eBay, B&Q, others)
  • Other potential marketplaces we aren’t currently in yet (TikTok Shop, etc.)

You will effectively act as our in-house e-commerce lead, working remotely with our UK team.

Primary Objective:

  • Grow profitable e-commerce revenue across all channels.
  • Success will be measured primarily on:
    • Revenue growth
    • Profitability (not just sales)
    • Channel performance improvements

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, flexible schedule aligned with the client’s business hours (UK Time, 20 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Amazon Ownership (Main channel currently)

  • Manage and optimise all Amazon listings
  • Improve:
    • Titles, bullets, keywords
    • Images and A+ content
  • Conversion rates
    • Monitor and improve:
      • Advertising performance
      • Organic ranking
  • Launch new products on Amazon
  • Manage reviews and ratings strategy
  • Identify and fix performance issues quickly

2. Direct Website Growth (WooCommerce or similar)

  • Improve conversion rates on product pages
  • Implement upsells, bundles, and offers
  • Work with marketing to improve landing pages
  • Ensure a smooth customer journey and checkout
  • Track and improve key metrics (CVR, AOV)

3. Marketplace Expansion

  • Manage and grow existing channels:
    • eBay
    • B&Q Marketplace
  • Explore and launch:
    • TikTok Shop
    • Other relevant marketplaces
  • Ensure listings are optimized per platform

4. Product Launch & Selection

  • Identify new product opportunities:
    • Based on market demand and trends
    • Competitor analysis
  • Validate products before launch
  • Manage listing and launch process
  • Focus on products that can sell online profitably

5. Performance & Reporting

  • Track key metrics weekly:
    • Revenue by channel
    • Profit margins
    • Ad spend vs. return
  • Provide clear, simple reports
  • Identify opportunities and issues proactively

6. Execution

  • This is a hands-on role that will include planning and implementing. You will:
    • Create listings
    • Upload content
    • Manage ads (or coordinate with marketing)
    • Implement changes directly

What We Are Looking For?

  • Essential Experience:
    • Strong experience managing Amazon Seller Central
    • Proven track record of growing e-commerce revenue
    • Experience with Woocommerce or similar platforms
    • Understanding of paids (Amazon + Meta/Google basics)
    • Experience launching products online
  • Mindset:
    • Commercially driven (understands profit, not just traffic)
    • Takes ownership of results
    • Proactive and self-directed
    • Comfortable working without close supervision
    • Balance strategy and execution
  • Bonus (Not Essential):
    • Experience with tools/hardware products
    • Experience scaling Amazon brands
    • Experience with TikTok Shop or emerging channels
  • KPIs/Success Metrics:
    • Monthly e-commerce revenue growth
    • Profit margin improvement
    • Amazon performance (ranking, conversion, ROAS)
    • Website conversion rate & AOV
    • Successful launch of new products
  • Working Structure:
    • Reports directly to the business owner
    • Works alongside:
      • Sales Manager (offline channel)
      • Marketing Executive (ads & content)

Important Note:

We currently use an external Amazon agency. This role will replace or reduce reliance on that agency, taking ownership internally.
