Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online expertise to support an urgent financial clean-up project and provide ongoing bookkeeping support. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, reliable, and experienced in handling financial records accurately and efficiently.
The successful candidate will help clean up and organize financial records for 2025 and 2026, ensure proper categorization of transactions, and support the business with consistent, high-quality bookkeeping. We are looking for someone who can start quickly, work independently, and build a long-term working relationship with the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, clean up, and reconcile financial records for 2025 and 2026
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online
- Accurately categorize transactions and maintain organized financial records
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
- Identify discrepancies and resolve bookkeeping issues promptly
- Prepare clear and accurate financial data for internal review
- Maintain up-to-date records and ensure data accuracy across entries
- Support reporting needs by keeping books current and well-structured
- Collaborate with the business owner or internal stakeholders as needed
- Recommend improvements to bookkeeping processes where appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and account reconciliation
- Ability to manage transaction categorization accurately and consistently
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience cleaning up historical financial records
- Familiarity with supporting small to mid-sized businesses
- Ability to start immediately or within one day
- Experience working with offshore or remote teams
- Strong references and a proven track record of reliability
Work Schedule and Commitment
- Candidate should be available to start urgently
- An initial full-time commitment may be required at the beginning to catch up on backlog and clean up records
- Long-term support is preferred once the initial clean-up phase is complete
- Additional administrative support may be added depending on business needs
