Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD 2D Structural & Civil CAD Drafter with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in AutoCAD drafting to support structural and civil engineering projects. This role focuses on producing accurate, high-quality 2D drawings, including bridge repair and infrastructure-related deliverables.

Candidates with experience in UK standards and Network Rail design deliverables—particularly bridge steelwork repair drawings—will be highly preferred.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (UK Time); Includes a 30-minute paid break

Responsibilities

• Recreate existing 2D drawings accurately in AutoCAD based on provided reference materials
• Incorporate engineer markups, redlines, and hand-drawn sketches into updated CAD drawings
• Produce structural and civil engineering drawings for bridge repair, refurbishment, and infrastructure projects
• Prepare drainage layouts, site plans, and general civil works drawings (e.g., car parks)
• Develop and update bridge steelwork repair drawings where required
• Maintain drawing standards, layering conventions, and revision control across all project files
• Perform cleanup, revisions, and minor design adjustments as directed by engineers
• Ensure all outputs align with project specifications and UK drafting standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in 2D AutoCAD drafting
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for structural and civil engineering drawings
• Experience interpreting hand-drawn sketches, markups, and redline annotations
• Familiarity with UK engineering standards; Network Rail experience is highly desirable
• Exposure to bridge structures and steelwork repair drawings is a strong advantage
• High attention to detail and accuracy in technical outputs
• Strong written communication skills for remote collaboration
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
