Role Overview: Social Media / Marketing Assistant
Schedule- Monday - Friday 9 AM -1 PM CDT, Texas Time
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with guest speakers to collect headshots, bios, and relevant materials for monthly events
- Create and update event graphics using existing templates to maintain brand consistency
- Set up and manage event scheduling links for monthly speaker lineups
- Update and distribute email newsletters to the mailing list using existing templates
- Develop and manage social media content to keep the brand top-of-mind with the audience
- Support the development of marketing strategies that drive engagement and audience growth
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media management and email marketing for small businesses or solopreneurs
- Strong understanding of the creative industry and ability to produce visually appealing content
- Experience using Canva, TidyCal, and SendFox or similar marketing and scheduling tools
- Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively suggest improvements
- Multilingual skills (French or Arabic) are a plus but not required
Scope:
- Part-time capacity: 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
- Collaborate directly with the business owner during daily check-ins to align on priorities and strategy
- Manage the end-to-end workflow for monthly speaker events, from material collection to email distribution
- Maintain consistent outreach through newsletters and social media to nurture the existing audience
- Identify opportunities to enhance marketing efforts and contribute creative ideas for business growth
