Job Overview

Our client is looking for an Influencer Partnerships Lead Researcher to lead the top-of-funnel discovery phase of their sponsorship pipeline. This role focuses on identifying and vetting high-potential content creators to expand the brand's reach across multiple digital platforms.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify content creators across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Substack who align with the target audience.
  • Evaluate creator fit by analyzing content themes, audience demographics, and relevance beyond obvious categories like politics and current affairs.
  • Collect creator and agency contact information and maintain organized records of outreach progress.
  • Conduct initial outreach to creators or their agencies to introduce the brand and assess interest in sponsorship partnerships.
  • Gather key information from interested creators, including pricing, availability, and preferred collaboration formats.
  • Hand off qualified, vetted creator leads with complete discovery data to the internal account management team.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sponsorship teams to ensure smooth lead handoffs and process alignment.
  • Identify non-obvious creator partnerships through creative analysis of trends and diverse audience interests.

Requirements

  • Proven background in sales, business development, or influencer marketing with specific experience in prospecting and lead qualification.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and the creator economy landscape.
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to develop and follow a methodical process for client analysis.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to represent a brand professionally.
  • Proficiency in pre-qualification tactics and initial negotiation skills.
  • Experience or foundational knowledge in account management.
