About the Role:
We are a fast-growing AI-powered fitness app launching in the US market. We are looking for a talented and efficient graphic designer to own our paid ad creative across social media platforms. This is a focused, execution-heavy role built for someone who works fast, has a strong eye for conversion-oriented design, and understands what makes people stop scrolling and take action. You will work from a brand guide and receive creative briefs. Your job is to produce polished, on-brand static ad assets and Instagram carousels that are ready to go live without revision rounds.
Schedule:
- Mondays to Fridays, flexible schedule within the client's business hours (with 30-minute daily overlap with US Central Time, 20 hours per week)
What You Will Work On:
- Static image advertisements for Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Google Display, and App Store product pages
- Instagram carousel ads (typically 3 to 7 frames) with cohesive visual flow and clear calls to action
- AI-generated image creation and curation using tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or DALL-E 3 for lifestyle and conceptual visuals
- Photo editing and retouching of user-generated content, product shots, and lifestyle photography
- Sizing and adapting master creative across platform specs (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9)
- Maintaining a clean, organized asset library with named files, proper exports, and version control
- Iterating on existing top-performing ad concepts based on performance feedback
- Occasional story and reel cover graphics, app store screenshots, and promotional graphics as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience designing paid social media advertisements, with a portfolio demonstrating direct response or performance creative
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent (Affinity Photo/Designer)
- Strong working knowledge of Canva Pro for rapid iteration and template-based production
- Demonstrated experience using AI image generation tools (Midjourney, DALL-E 3, Adobe Firefly, or similar) to produce and edit commercial-quality visuals
- Understanding of ad creative best practices: visual hierarchy, thumb-stopping hooks, CTA placement, and mobile-first composition
- Ability to work accurately within strict brand guidelines (color, typography, layout rules)
- Strong file organization habits: proper naming conventions, layered source files, and clean exports
- Ability to accept creative direction clearly and deliver assets without multiple revision rounds
Bonus Skills (Not Required):
- Experience designing for health, fitness, wellness, or consumer app brands
- Basic motion graphics or GIF animation for social ads
- Familiarity with ad platform spec requirements across Meta, TikTok, Google, and Apple
- Experience coordinating with or briefing UGC creators
How You Will Work with Us:
You will receive a weekly creative brief via Google Drive or Slack outlining the ads needed, the goal of each asset, and any reference materials. You are expected to deliver completed assets within the agreed turnaround window. Daily overlap of at least 30 minutes with Central Standard Time (Austin, TX) is required for async check-ins and file handoff. We move fast. We value designers who can produce great work independently without needing constant feedback loops.
