Paid Media Marketing Manager (Google Ads, GA4, GTM)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a conversion-obsessed Marketing Manager who treats tracking integrity as a non-negotiable foundation. This is not a role for a passive campaign manager; it is for a specialist who diagnoses why a funnel is failing and proactively fixes it. Operating across Google and Meta Ads, you will manage the execution layer for a portfolio of AU clients, including those in regulated industries like health and medical aesthetics. 

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Own the structure, ad copy, bidding strategy, and budget pacing for Google and Meta Ads; optimize for primary conversion outcomes over vanity metrics.
  • Audit and maintain GA4 event tracking and GTM configurations; identify and eliminate "rogue" data to ensure cross-domain funnels and third-party booking systems are accurately tracked.
  • Diagnose data-driven drop-off points; document hypotheses and lead iterative experiments to remove UX friction and implementation barriers.
  • Prepare all ad copy and creative for MD review, ensuring strict adherence to advertising compliance frameworks (TGA/regulated categories).
  • Deliver weekly Looker Studio performance summaries with clear narratives; surface problems immediately rather than waiting for reporting cycles.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in paid media with a verifiable focus on conversion and performance outcomes.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Google Ads, GA4, and GTM, including complex cross-domain and third-party tracking scenarios.
  • Experience working within health, medical, or other highly regulated advertising categories.
  • Excellent written English: This is non-negotiable as you will produce client-ready reports and ad copy.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose funnel problems from data, not just report campaign metrics.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Looker Studio dashboard builds and maintenance.
  • Experience with Meta Ads specifically for service-based or lead-generation businesses.
  • Working knowledge of Australian TGA advertising guidelines or equivalent (FDA, MHRA).
