B2B Cold Caller (Commercial Finance)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a high-energy, target-driven B2B Cold Caller to drive their lead generation efforts in the UK commercial finance sector. In this role, you will be the front line of the sales process, introducing tailored finance solutions—such as business loans, asset finance, and merchant cash advances—to business owners and decision-makers. This is an ideal position for a resilient communicator who enjoys the challenge of high-volume outbound calling and has a knack for qualifying complex financial needs. You will play a critical role in filling the sales pipeline and supporting the senior team in securing new business.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM GMT/BST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Outbound Prospecting: Make a minimum of 100 outbound B2B cold calls per day to UK-based business owners and decision-makers.
  • Value Proposition: Clearly introduce tailored finance offerings, including business loans, asset finance, working capital, and invoice finance.
  • Lead Qualification: Qualify leads based on specific business criteria and suitability for various commercial lending solutions.
  • Appointment Setting: Secure 15–20 qualified appointments per week for the senior sales team.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities and lead statuses within HubSpot.
  • Lead Follow-up: Proactively follow up on warm leads and inbound enquiries to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Strategy Collaboration: Contribute to the development of scripts, value-led messaging, and overall outreach strategy.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide weekly reports on call volumes, conversion rates, and market insights to refine the sales approach.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: 1–2+ years of experience in B2B cold calling, lead generation, or appointment setting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of financial services, commercial lending, or business finance is highly desirable (UK market experience is a strong plus).
  • Communication: Excellent phone manner—confident, professional, and persuasive when speaking with high-level stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organization and time-management skills; highly resilient and capable of handling objections constructively.
  • Technical Literacy: Experience with CRM tools and a commitment to excellent data hygiene practices.
  • Drive: Target-driven mindset with the ability to work independently to meet and exceed weekly quotas.
