Role Overview
We are looking for a highly engaging and culturally aware Instagram DM Sales & Community Manager to connect with artists, nurture conversations, and convert leads into booked discovery calls. This role is perfect for someone who understands music culture, communicates naturally online, and can turn casual conversations into meaningful business opportunities. This job has the potential for incentives/commissions if targets are met.
WORK SCHEDULE: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible during business hours (Northcote, VIC timezone)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to inbound and outbound Instagram DMs
- Nurture conversations with prospects to build trust and interest
- Qualify leads based on fit and readiness before booking discovery calls
- Guide conversations toward conversion using a natural, non-salesy tone
- Maintain consistent follow-ups to keep leads engaged
- Track conversations, outcomes, and booked calls
- Report on engagement performance and conversion metrics
- Collaborate with the business owner to refine messaging and improve results
- Manage the full DM lifecycle from first contact to booked call
Requirements
- Strong written English with a natural, conversational social media tone
- Solid understanding of Instagram communication styles and etiquette
- Cultural awareness of R&B and pop artist communities
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- High attention to detail and openness to feedback
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Previous experience in social media engagement, community management, or lead generation is preferred
