Job Overview
Our client is looking for a highly detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support daily retail operations by transferring and maintaining product and inventory data from spreadsheets into the client’s POS system, POS with Logic. The ideal candidate is highly accurate, organized, and experienced in handling large volumes of data with speed and precision. This role is critical in ensuring product information, pricing, stock levels, and item details are consistently updated and error-free within the POS system.
Client Overview
Our client operates an online kosher grocery and retail business serving customers with a wide selection of food, household essentials, and specialty products. Their platform focuses on efficient order management, accurate product listings, and seamless customer service to support a growing customer base.
Schedule: 42 work hours per week, with 1 hour unpaid break daily, Eastern time
- Sunday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST
- Monday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
- Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Responsibilities
- Accurately transfer data from spreadsheets into the POS with Logic system
- Input and update product names, SKUs, pricing, barcodes, and inventory quantities
- Review spreadsheet data for missing or inconsistent information before entry
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across all records
- Perform regular data validation and quality checks
- Update product descriptions, categories, and item attributes as needed
- Ensure timely completion of daily and weekly data entry tasks
- Coordinate with the internal team regarding discrepancies or missing details
- Generate simple status reports on completed entries and pending updates
- Maintain confidentiality and security of business data
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Specialist, Virtual Assistant, or Administrative Assistant
- Experience working with POS systems, inventory software, or retail databases
- Experience handling SKU, product, and inventory data
- Strong data entry speed with high accuracy
- Familiarity with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong knowledge of formulas, filters, sorting, and data organization
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good written communication skills in English
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, grocery, e-commerce, or inventory support (Preferred)
- Familiarity with barcode systems and product catalog management (Preferred)
- Experience with data cleansing and reconciliation tasks (Preferred)
