Schedule: M-Th between 8 am and 1 pm or 12pm-5pm Pacific time flexible
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple client accounts, including month-end close procedures
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Maintain organized and up-to-date general ledgers and chart of accounts
- Prepare financial reports and summaries to support the firm's accounting and tax services
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in client financial data in a timely manner
- Support the transition of bookkeeping workflows as the firm scales its service offerings
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
- Demonstrated ability to independently close out monthly books
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with Financial Sense software is a plus but not required
Scope
- Part-time role, approximately 20 hours per week with potential to grow into full-time
- Working within the US time zone to align with the firm's operations
- Handling bookkeeping for the firm's client base under the direction of the business owner
- Collaborating with the business owner to ensure seamless financial reporting
- Adapting to evolving responsibilities as the firm expands into tax services
