Job Overview

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the compliance programs for the client. This role will ensure that the company complies with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. The Compliance Officer will also conduct audits, train staff on compliance matters, and report on compliance issues to senior management.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Trevose, PA Time, with 1 hour paid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, HIPAA, OSHA, and home healthcare licensing laws.
  • Auditing and Monitoring: Conduct regular audits of company operations, including authorizations, patient records, billing practices, and staff certifications, to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Training and Education: Organize and conduct training sessions for staff on compliance topics.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of compliance activities and any identified risks or issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff, administration, and legal teams to address compliance concerns and implement best practices.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of regulatory developments in the healthcare sector and update the company’s compliance strategy as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, preferably in home healthcare or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and collaborate with staff at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially using Excel and Word to draft and analyze reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, preferably in home healthcare or a related field.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
