Role Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to review, organize, and summarize medical records provided by attorneys. This is a non-voice role focused on accurately analyzing patient documentation and producing structured, easy-to-navigate summaries in PDF format.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable handling large volumes of medical records, extracting key information efficiently, and presenting it in a clear, organized, and professional format.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze medical records provided by legal teams
  • Summarize patient records into structured, concise PDF documents
  • Create organized summaries with hyperlinked sections for easy navigation
  • Ensure all summaries follow the required formatting and structure guidelines
  • Process and review high volumes of documentation efficiently (target: ~140 pages per hour)
  • Verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency of medical data
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of summarized records
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with privacy standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams for clarifications or missing information

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare, medical records, or medical administration
  • Strong ability to read and interpret medical documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, PDF tools, and Excel)
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data under time constraints
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to follow strict formatting and documentation guidelines
  • Comfortable working in a non-voice, task-focused environment

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in medical summarization or legal-medical support
  • Experience working with attorneys or legal documentation
  • Familiarity with PDF editing tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat with hyperlinking)
  • Strong analytical and comprehension skills for complex records
  • Ability to maintain speed without compromising accuracy

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
