We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support a diverse range of clients with bookkeeping, tax, and compliance tasks. This role is ideal for an independent, detail-oriented professional with strong Australian accounting experience and proficiency in Xero.

Scope:

• Manage a dedicated portfolio of clients
• Perform monthly bookkeeping and compliance tasks
• Maintain direct client communication and relationships
• Collaborate with an existing team across 8 client groups
• Work with high-value clients and premium fee structures

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for assigned clients on a monthly basis
• Prepare individual and company tax returns
• Complete accounts preparation and financial statements
• Maintain workflow independently and proactively communicate additional needs
• Integrate with the team to resolve queries and ensure accurate work
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding financial obligations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Australian accounting experience
• Proficiency in Xero, CGT, CTR, TRT, Div 7A, and the new XPM Workpapers
• Experience with bookkeeping, individual tax, and company tax returns
• Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
• Understanding of monthly accounting cycles and client management

• This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
