Social Media Manager (Twitter/X Specialist) | AI SaaS

Overview

We are an innovative AI interview copilot SaaS seeking a dedicated X Specialist to manage and grow our presence from the ground up for our community of tech-savvy professionals. You will act as an extension of our marketing team, owning daily posting, thread strategy, and high-level engagement to establish our brand as a leader in the productivity space. We need an expert who masters the specific rhythm and culture of X to turn our account into a primary engine for brand growth.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, New York, EST (4 hours per day / 20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Write and schedule 3–7 platform-native tweets (polls, posts, replies) daily using tools like Buffer or Hootsuite
  • Research and craft 2–4 high-quality threads weekly focused on interview prep, AI productivity, and job market trends
  • Actively join 10–20 daily conversations with industry leaders, recruiters, and career coaches to build brand visibility
  • Monitor and respond to all mentions and DMs daily, maintaining a professional and helpful brand voice
  • Monitor real-time trends in AI and HR to create reactive content within 30–60 minutes of a topic surfacing
  • Transform existing company blogs, videos, and LinkedIn posts into punchy, X-optimized formats and quote cards
  • Produce weekly reports tracking follower growth, engagement rates, and top-performing content to refine strategy
  • Ensure all output aligns with our executive tone, making the account a go-to resource for career development

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Documented experience managing and growing a Twitter/X account — agency, client, or personal brand
  • Demonstrated ability to write platform-native X content: short-form tweets, threads, polls, and reply-bait posts
  • Strong written English — near-native fluency required, as you will be writing in an executive brand voice
  • Understanding of X algorithm mechanics: threading, engagement windows, hashtag use, reply strategy
  • Ability to adopt and maintain a consistent brand voice with minimal supervision after onboarding
  • Experience with at least one scheduling tool (Buffer, Hootsuite, or equivalent)
  • Comfortable working independently, managing a content calendar, and hitting daily output targets

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in the SaaS, tech, or AI space — understanding of the audience we're speaking to
  • Familiarity with career development, recruitment, or HR content — our core subject matter
  • Experience managing X alongside other platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) simultaneously
  • Basic Canva skills for quote card and visual post creation
  • Experience with X Ads or promoted posts in addition to organic management

You should be proficient in — or able to quickly learn — the following:

  • Scheduling: Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, or X native scheduler
  • Analytics: X Analytics, Sprout Social, or Audiense
  • Design: Canva or Adobe Express for quote cards and visual content
  • Trend monitoring: Trendsmap, X Explore, Google Trends
  • Content management & calendar: Notion (our primary PM tool)
  • Communication & reporting: Slack, Loom, Google Sheets
