This role is a key part of our marketing growth strategy. We need someone who understands the rhythm of X and can grow our account with the right audience: professionals, candidates, and career-focused individuals who are exactly who our product is built for.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are hiring a dedicated Twitter/X Virtual Assistant to manage and grow our X presence from the ground up. You will own our daily posting, engagement, thread strategy, DM management, and analytics — operating inside our account as an extension of the LockedIn AI marketing team.
This is not a generic social media role. X is our primary brand-building channel for reaching tech-savvy professionals, job seekers, and career development communities. We need someone who understands X culture specifically — the tone, the threading mechanics, the engagement windows, and what makes content on this platform actually perform.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, New York, EST (4 hours per day / 20 hours per week)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Writing & Scheduling
- Write 3–7 tweets per day in LockedIn AI's brand voice — standalone posts, polls, quote tweets, and replies
- Build and maintain a weekly content calendar aligned to our content pillars
- Batch-write and schedule content using Buffer, Hootsuite, or X's native scheduler
- Maintain consistent daily posting across weekdays without gaps in cadence
Thread Creation & Long-Form Content
- Research and write 2–4 high-quality threads per week on topics like interview prep, career growth, AI tools, and job market trends
- Structure threads for maximum readability, shares, and saves
- Post threads at optimal engagement windows for our target audience
Engagement & Community Building
- Respond to all mentions, comments, and replies within agreed SLA (target: same business day)
- Proactively engage with 10–20 relevant conversations per day in career, AI, SaaS, and HR-adjacent threads
- Follow and engage with target accounts: career coaches, recruiters, HR professionals, startup founders, and tech communities
- Build reciprocal visibility through strategic comment presence on high-traffic accounts in our niche
DM Management
- Monitor and manage the X DM inbox daily
- Route inbound DMs — handle routine inquiries with approved templates, flag sales or partnership leads for the team
- Maintain a DM log for lead tracking and follow-up
Trend Monitoring & Newsjacking
- Monitor trending topics in AI, hiring, career development, and SaaS spaces daily using Trendsmap, X Explore, and Google Trends
- Create reactive content within 30–60 minutes of relevant trends surfacing
- Flag high-opportunity trends to the marketing team for broader cross-channel activation
Content Repurposing
- Adapt existing LockedIn AI content — blog posts, LinkedIn articles, YouTube videos, product updates — into X-native formats
- Turn long-form content into punchy tweets, thread series, and quote cards
- Ensure nothing leaves the content pipeline without an X distribution plan
Analytics & Reporting
- Produce a weekly performance report covering: follower growth, impressions, engagement rate, top-performing posts, and link clicks
- Identify content patterns and make strategy recommendations based on data
- Track monthly progress against agreed growth KPIs

CONTENT STRATEGY YOU WILL EXECUTE
The X account will operate on a defined content mix. You are responsible for maintaining this ratio consistently:
- 70% — Educational or entertaining content: interview tips, career advice, AI trends, job search strategy, product insights. Content that provides standalone value whether or not the reader ever buys.
- 20% — Engagement & community content: joining trending conversations, replying to thought leaders in our niche, sharing hot takes on hiring culture and AI tools.
- 10% — Promotional content: product features, case studies, user wins, sign-up prompts. Used sparingly and framed in terms of value.

TOOLS & PLATFORMS
You should be proficient in — or able to quickly learn — the following:
- Scheduling: Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, or X native scheduler
- Analytics: X Analytics, Sprout Social, or Audiense
- Design: Canva or Adobe Express for quote cards and visual content
- Trend monitoring: Trendsmap, X Explore, Google Trends
- Content management & calendar: Notion (our primary PM tool)
- Communication & reporting: Slack, Loom, Google Sheets
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have
- Documented experience managing and growing a Twitter/X account — agency, client, or personal brand
- Demonstrated ability to write platform-native X content: short-form tweets, threads, polls, and reply-bait posts
- Strong written English — near-native fluency required, as you will be writing in an executive brand voice
- Understanding of X algorithm mechanics: threading, engagement windows, hashtag use, reply strategy
- Ability to adopt and maintain a consistent brand voice with minimal supervision after onboarding
- Experience with at least one scheduling tool (Buffer, Hootsuite, or equivalent)
- Comfortable working independently, managing a content calendar, and hitting daily output targets
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in the SaaS, tech, or AI space — understanding of the audience we're speaking to
- Familiarity with career development, recruitment, or HR content — our core subject matter
- Experience managing X alongside other platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) simultaneously
- Basic Canva skills for quote card and visual post creation
- Experience with X Ads or promoted posts in addition to organic management
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
In the first 30 days, you will be evaluated on:
- Voice accuracy — content is indistinguishable from the founder's own writing within 2 weeks
- Posting consistency — zero gaps in the agreed daily posting schedule
- Response time — all mentions and DMs addressed within the agreed SLA
From Day 31 onwards, ongoing KPIs include:
- Monthly follower growth rate (target set at onboarding based on current baseline)
- Weekly engagement rate vs. platform benchmark for our niche
- Thread performance — average impressions and engagement per thread
- Content repurposing output — number of X posts derived from other channel content per week
- Weekly report delivery — submitted every Friday by EOD
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
This role requires daily activity during peak X engagement hours for our audience (primarily US time zones). You should be available to monitor trends and post reactive content in near-real-time during at least a 4-hour overlap with US Eastern or Pacific business hours.
You will report to the Head of Marketing and participate in a brief weekly sync (Mondays) and submit a Friday EOD performance report. Outside of that, this is a high-autonomy role — we expect you to manage the account proactively without being chased for output.

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
