Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bill of quantities for residential construction projects including small units, new builds, and townhouses.
• Create comprehensive bill of materials for ongoing construction projects.
• Work directly from architectural plans to extract material and labor requirements.
• Support quality improvement initiatives through precise quantity assessments.
• Contribute to process optimization and efficiency gains across multiple projects.
• Collaborate directly with the business owner on project requirements and deliverables.
• Maintain accuracy standards while meeting flexible deadlines across ongoing projects.

Requirements

• Experienced quantity surveyor with a proven residential construction background.
• Strong familiarity with Australian construction standards and building practices.
• Expertise in BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation and methodology.
• Ability to work independently from architectural plans and technical drawings.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree or formal surveying qualifications is considered a bonus.
• Experience with QS software systems and digital tools is highly helpful.
• Previous experience working with Australian residential construction companies is a plus.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
