Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate bill of quantities for residential construction projects including small units, new builds, and townhouses.
- Create comprehensive bill of materials for ongoing construction projects.
- Work directly from architectural plans to extract material and labor requirements.
- Support quality improvement initiatives through precise quantity assessments.
- Contribute to process optimization and efficiency gains across multiple projects.
- Collaborate directly with the business owner on project requirements and deliverables.
- Maintain accuracy standards while meeting flexible deadlines across ongoing projects.
Requirements
- Experienced quantity surveyor with a proven residential construction background.
- Strong familiarity with Australian construction standards and building practices.
- Expertise in BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation and methodology.
- Ability to work independently from architectural plans and technical drawings.
Qualifications
- A Civil Engineering degree or formal surveying qualifications is considered a bonus.
- Experience with QS software systems and digital tools is highly helpful.
- Previous experience working with Australian residential construction companies is a plus.
