We are a premier third-party hotel management company overseeing a growing portfolio of 37 hotels across the Midwest. Our established corporate accounting team—including a VP of Hotel Accounting, three Senior Staff Accountants, and two Staff Accountants—is expanding to ensure a consistent, efficient month-end close process and top-tier financial performance across all properties.
The Role
We are seeking three detail-oriented Portfolio Accounting Specialists to serve as the primary execution layer of our accounting function. You will work across multiple entities in a structured, deadline-driven environment, focusing heavily on reconciliations, cash management, and month-end preparation.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST; 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities
- Daily Execution: Perform day-to-day accounting activities for a portfolio of hotels under the direction of a Senior Accountant.
- Reconciliations: Execute bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cash Management: Maintain and update cash logs and tracking schedules.
- Month-End Support: Prepare month-end schedules and supporting documentation for review.
- Problem Solving: Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend resolutions.
- Quality Control: Ensure all workpapers are accurate, complete, and audit-ready using standardized processes in systems like M3 and ProfitSword.
- Collaboration: Proactively communicate with Senior Accountants regarding risks, delays, or outstanding items.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in hotel accounting or multi-property accounting is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting systems (M3 Accounting Core preferred) and strong Excel skills.
- Work Style: Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines independently within a structured process.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and accuracy are critical.
- Communication: Clear and professional communication skills for a remote environment.
- Availability: Must be able to work full-time aligned with EST business hours
